As Toronto enters a state of emergency amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the Student Association of George Brown College (SAGBC) continues to work with the college and relevant health authorities to make ensure we are following effective health and safety guidelines.
During the lockdown, SAGBC presence on campus will be limited only to essential work. We are continuing to provide service to students virtually and will continue to do so until it is deemed safe to return to campus.
Students in need of support are encouraged to participate in the SAGBC’s programming, including the Equity & Care Relief Fund or the Student Nutrition Access Program’s Food Hamper Delivery service, which delivers food hampers to students all around Toronto. Other virtual programming, including sessions and webinars from our Student Academic Support Program, Recreation & Events team, and SafeWalk, is accessible through our website or social media. Students with additional questions are encouraged to reach out to the SAGBC through our website’s live chat (Monday – Friday) or intake form.
The SAGBC will continue following the health and safety guidelines dictated by the government and public health officials and we will continue to adapt our services to ensure we are meeting the needs of our members in a safe and socially distanced manner. More updates will be provided when available.
