The Community Garden is a summer initative that provides students with a communal and interactive space to grow their own produce and engage in the Toronto community. The Community Garden aims to give students the tools to discover, learn, hone, grow, and meet their potential in this interactive program.

The Community Garden’s programs learning outcomes include:

  • How to grow their own produce
  • Engage in the Toronto community
  • Network
  • Learn a new skill
  • Help provide produce to SNAP (Student Nutrition Access Program) Hamper program. onsite.

What’s Growing?

This year for the community Garden will be growing:

  • Spring Onion
  • Tomatoes
  • Peppers
  • Kale

However, we are open to volunteers input on what produce we should grow, since this program will be an interactive learning experiences for students and volunteers.

What to bring?
  • Water bottle
  • Sunscreen
  • Gardening gloves*
  • Hat
  • Close toe shoes
  • Snack *
  • Yourself

*In the case you do not have gardening items, we will have limited items that can be shared.

The SNAP community garden is closed for the season. Thank you to all volunteers!
