In over 150 countries, millions of people are rising up to support young climate strikers and demand an end to the age of fossil fuels.
On Friday, Sept. 27, Toronto will see its biggest strike and march for climate justice.
Students know the issues. Students care. Students are committed to our histories and our futures.
Students know that our climate is in crisis. Students call-in all people, especially those in power, to take the necessary steps to heal the planet. We need a livable future.
For these reasons and more, the Student Association of George Brown College endorses the Global Climate Strike on Friday, Sept. 27, 2019.
The climate crisis won’t wait, so neither will we.

WHAT IF I HAVE CLASS ON FRIDAY?
George Brown College has asked instructors to accommodate students who are participating in the climate strike.
Students who want to participate in the climate rally should contact their instructors before Sept. 27 in order to make arrangements for receiving course content or making up missed assignments, tests or exams. Students will still be responsible for the materials covered that day.
