SNAP Community Garden is focusing on promoting health and wellness through
movement. During the month of August SNAP is hosting yoga sessions with trained
professionals in the community garden at CL to promote healthy physical activity amongst the
GBC student body.
This series will take place throughout the Spring/Summer to host scheduled one-hour
sessions of yoga classes outside in the SNAP Community Garden located behind Casa Loma
Campus. We have partnered up with IAMYOGA Studio to bring mindful, calming, and fluid
sessions to students to help get them moving.
Yoga is a useful activity that allows students to disconnect from studies, get outside,
being in activity, no matter what their experience is with fitness. The practice of yoga allows you
to be mindful and aware of your body in a safe space that calls for no judgment.
